Abertillery Lions Club  are pleased to report that the new officers have accepted the positions outgoing President (Cherrie Withers ) presented A wide screen TV for her chosen charity  and games console. Cherrie wishes to thank all her Fellow Lions, the staff, and Patrons of the Corner Club, who made this donation possible


This years President  Doreen Woods, has continued the Mental Health theme as the Clubs charity for the coming year. The club believes this to be worthy cause and will give Doreen full support in rising donations.
 
 
New Club Venture (Aberfest)  this year we are planning a new venture in the form of a beer festival

Abertillery Lions Club 1st Beer Festival

Venue - The Institute Division Street Abertillery
When - Saturday 27th June 2009 11 am to 11 pm (No admittance after 9.30pm)
              Sunday 28th June 2009 11am to 5.30 pm

Featuring - Welsh Ales and Ciders

Cost  - £2 per day if purchased at the door
             £1.50 on production of CAMRA card
             £1.50 if purchased prior to the event


It is intended to have a small number of stalls for the purchase of food, wine and soft drinks.
Children are welcomed free if accompanied by an adult and there will be a number of activities fro them up to 5 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased from Ashes, any Lion Member or by post.  Postal applications should include not only payment but a SAE.  Postal applications should be made to : Lion President  c/o 3, Clytha Crescent, Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent. NP13 2ED

The Lions 100 club:- yearly prize draw. Charter Night, and Next years Hand Over Weekend. and a newevent for Aberfest

( Santa's Sledge at Christmas)
Our Santa's Sledge is the highlight of our fund raising activities. It takes vasts amount of organisation by Lion John to run smoothly each year. Locations and Times are currntly being arrange. These will be publishished later this year
